If you're just starting out as a Lash Artist, then it may be a little tricky to navigate the crazy world of lash products. Which products do you choose? Which ones are right for you?
We sat down with the Lash Artists at Lust for Lashes to ask them which lash products are absolutely essential to have when starting out as a Lash Technician. Here's what they said:
1. Luxe Adhesive
Our most popular adhesive, 'Luxe' is a versatile product, great for all levels of Lash Stylists. We recommend this gentle glue to beginners because it offers a consistent dry time of about 1-2 seconds, allowing room for error and slight adjustments of lashes.
2. Mixed Lash Tray (Crafted Mink)
This Lash Tray is available in curls B, C and D. 16 rows of lashes in one tray, containing 7-13 mm. It's great for beginners because it conveniently offers varying lengths and diameter in one tray, as opposed to buying multiple lash trays. This is ideal for those artists who are just starting out.
Your choice of tweezers varies depending on what you are comfortable using. To start, it is ideal to use Pro Straight and Needle Nose Straight tweezers. We recommend these tweezers for the perfect pickup and isolation. They also have a balanced lightweight design, which prevents your hands from getting fatigued. Artists can use them interchangeably, and they contain a fine tip, which is ideal for picking up lashes.
4. Eye Pads
There are two types of eye pads that can be used on your clients. The Silicone Eye Pad doesn't stick to skin or fine hairs. It can be used on brows, and it is soft and flexible to move around. The Collagen Gel Eye Pad is soothing for under the eyes. It lies flat against the skin, adheres to the contours of the face, and doesn't stick to the lower lashes. This pad also offers a cooling, hydrating, under eye treatment for your clients while their lashes are being applied. As an added bonus, clients have commented that this gel pad helps rid of dark circles.
Clients find both of these eye pads to be very comfortable.
5. Lash Wand
Lash Wands are a handy tool in ensuring proper comb through, so that no lashes are sticking. They are great to use while lashing, allowing the artist to have a clear view of their lash design at all times. The soft bristles are gentle on the eyes. This product is disposable and can be given to clients to take home, providing extra lash care.
